Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has lauded the services of outgoing EC chief Hamid Ali Mirza.

Outgoing Chief Election Commissioner, justice (Rtd) Hamid Ali Mirza and Secretary Election Commission Ishtiaq Ahmad khan called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at Prime Minister’s House this morning.The Prime Minister appreciated the services of outgoing Chief Election Commissioner in holding free, fair and transparent elections in the country.The Prime Minister particularly mentioned the role of Election Commission during his tenure to improve the electoral process and also substantial progress made in preparing authentic electoral lists through the use of state of art technology.The Chief Election Commissioner thanked the Prime Minister for his support and said that Election Commission was a lynchpin for holding credible elections reflective of the aspirations of the people of country.
