Babar Awan contempt case adjourned till April 2

The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of contempt case till April 2.

A two-member bench of the Supreme Court comprising Justice Ijaz Afzal Khan and Justice Athar Saeed resumed the hearing of contempt case against former law minister Babar Awan.The Supreme Court was likely to indict Babar Awan in contempt of court but Babar told the court his lawyer was not available till April 5. He requested the court to extend the proceedings till April 5. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till April 2.The Supreme Court in verdict had declared that the press conference of 31st December came under the contempt of court. The Court will indict Babar Awan on April 2.
