MQM staged walkout from the National assembly against street crime and extortion in Karachi.

After the walkout, MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said in the assembly cafeteria that MQM may not attend the joint session of the parliament as protest against street crime and extortion in Karachi. He revealed about Rs 0.6 million is taken as extortion money from the Kabari Market alone. Doing business in Karachi has become quite impossible, he added.
