Brigadier Sarfraz Ali has been appointed as commander of Triple One Brigade.

111 Brigade is responsible for security of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, but had usually been mobilised in the past to stage coups.Sources said despite high-level change, the Pak Army doesn’t have intentions to take over the government, but COAS Gen Kayani has made it repeatedly clear that the Army would not compromise on the matters of national interest.Earlier, the PM dismissed the secretary defence after the ISPR issued a press release stating that PM allegations against the COAS and the ISI chief would have serious implications.
