Pakistans head of military operations says the country has deployed air defense weapons to the Afghan border after NATO airstrikes last month killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.Maj. Gen. Ashfaq Nadeem was quoted Friday as saying the military feared future attacks and the border posts were only armed with light weapons.Earlier, Nadeem had briefed the federal Cabinet and the Senates defense committee on the weapons deployment.Pakistan and the U.S. have provided different accounts of why NATO aircraft attacked two army posts on the Afghan border before dawn on Nov. 26.The Pakistan army has claimed the attack was pre-planned and deliberate an allegation denied by the United States.
