Rawalpindi: Flood warnings after water level rises in Nullah Lai

Water level in Rawalpindis Nullah Lai has reached maximum level after todays rain in twin cities.

Rain water accumulated in low-lying areas of twin cities after heavy rains on Saturday morning.Flood warnings were issued after water level in Nullah Lai, which passes through different localities of the twin cities, touched the maximum point due to heavy rain. At Katariyan, water level was recorded at 18 feet while it was 11 feet at Gawalmandi.Meanwhile, 65mm rainfall was recorded at Golra, 63mm at Zero Point and 67mm at Syedpur.According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, more rains are expected in upper Punjab due to presence of low pressure of monsoon winds over upper parts of the country.
