ECP stated that by-elections would be considered illegal without Parliaments ratification.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), in the first meeting after its formation issued a statement that the by-elections in 23 constituencies were conducted by the incomplete election commission that’s why these elections would be considered illegal and disputed without ratification by the Parliament.According to Election Commission of Pakistan, fourteen political parties have been permitted to contest elections.The ECP postponed the decision on the objection of All Pakistan Muslim League’s name.Election Commission of Pakistan has announced to start a door to door campaign from July 18 for the preparation of voters’ lists, while retired judges of High Court would be engaged for the election tribunal.
