AJK election: Deadlock remained between MQM, PPP

The PPP and MQM could not resolve the issue of two seats of Karachi in Azad Jamu Kashmir elections.

According to sources, the PPP has asked the MQM to build a consensus on one seat. But the MQM refused to withdraw from seat. The sources said that the government had promised to give a ministry in GB and a state ministry in the National Assembly, but it could not honour its promise. The sources further said that the MQM would agree to hold talks on the assurance of the government to reconsider its promise on ministries.
