The format of the event has been changed due to bad weather and delay in matches.

According to new format, semi-final and final matches would not be held and results of all the positions will be made according to points and goals of league matches.Earlier the match was postponed due to bad weather. The match was postponed at such time when Pakistani squad was ready to take on the host Holland. The local administration had issued a storm warning and advised that the match should be postponed. This is the first time in the history of hockey that a match was delayed on such notices. Earlier, despite the Madrid bombings, Pakistan’s hockey match was played, not delayed.
