Skirmishes between police and illegal migrants continued on the 2nd day in Greek island, Lesbos
GREECE: (Dunya News) – Skirmishes between the police and the illegal migrants on Sunday continued in the Greek island, Lesbos, on the second day as well. Over 3000 migrants are protesting because of long process of registration and are trying to board the ship going to Athens, reported Dunya News.
Only 2 ships have been taken to Athens by the Greek government while the number of immigrants is constantly rising due to which the local government of Lesbos is facing trouble.
Lesbos mayor has warned the government that if steps to resolve this issue are not taken immediately, he will boycott the elections due to be held on September 20.
