KARACHI (Dunya News) - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has announced to observe a Black Day tomorrow, protesting against the alleged rigging in the February 8 polls.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman asserted that the election results were marred by rigging, forgery, and denounced the outcome as a conspiracy against Pakistan.

Refusing to accept the poll results, he criticized his political rival, Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan (MQM-P), accusing them of securing victory through illegitimate means.

He specifically questioned the display of 'Thank You' banners by MQM-P, insinuating support from undemocratic elements.

Hafiz Naeem argued that MQM-P garnered votes through illicit practices, imposing rulers on the public against their will, and deemed the obervance of Black Day as a stand against this anti-democratic trend.

In an interesting turn of events, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman relinquished the National Assembly seat to a PTI-backed independent candidate on February 12.

He highlighted that the independent candidate rightfully deserved the PS-129 seat as per Form-45.

Rehman emphasized the rejection of illicit behavior, stating that the public had forcefully rejected rulers imposed on them undemocratically.
