Released Pak prisoners tortured in India

BSF India has handed over 12 Pakistani prisoners including 3 children at Wagah border.

Three prisoners have lost their mental balance as they were severely tortured during custody, and were shifted to the hospital in critical condition. The three children are aged between 10 to 14 years.DG Rangers Punjab Major General Bilal Ahmed received Pakistani prisoners. He garlanded and distributed sweets amongst them. The prisoners were looking very exhausted.On the occasion very emotional scenes were seen. They bowed before Almighty Allah after entering Pakistan. The Indian authorities have given the list of 13 prisoners. One prisoner belonging to Hyderabad was stopped in India on the plea that his travel documents were not ready.Those freed from Indian custody included three fishermen from Hyderabad while remaining are from different areas of Punjab and AJK. The fishermen were awarded punishment of six months but they were released by India after almost three years. Some were released after nine years.These prisoners submitted the applications time and again for their release after completing their legal sentence but Indian authorities did not pay any heed to them. Last year judicial commission comprising retired judges from both sides visited the jails in each others country. On the occasion India announced to release 13 Pakistani prisoners but it took almost a year to materialize it.
