Pakistan reports 5,196 coronavirus cases, 15 deaths in 24 hours

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 15 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,386,348. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 29,137 on Wednesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 5,196 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,119 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,753 in Sindh 5,980 in KP, 979 in Islamabad, 752 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan, and 187 in GB.

Furthermore 531,008 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 467,698 in Punjab 186,537 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 120,813 in Islamabad, 35,734 in Azad Kashmir 34,032 in Balochistan and 10,526 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 24,691,005 coronavirus tests and 51,063 in the last 24 hours. 1,271,087 patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,293 patients are in critical condition.


Positivity Ratio


The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 10.17 percent.


Vaccine Statistics


So far, 103,805,835 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 236,182 in last 24 hours. 80,041,973 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 388,764 received their second dose in last 24 hours.

The number of total administered doses has reached to 172,836,036 with 660,303 in the last 24 hours.
