PML-N is trying to include Saad Rafiq to PAC so that he can also benefit from this shield.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday said that Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif is using Public Accounts Committee (PAC) as shield against corruption.

Talking to media after the meeting, Fawad Chaudhry said that the prime minister struggled against corruption for 22 years, adding that his fight against corruption is not for himself but for the people of the country.

The minister made it clear that there won’t be any deal with anyone nor anyone would be spared.

“It is impossible for anyone to get National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO),” he said and added cases against all corrupt elements will be taken to their logical conclusion.

Fawad Ch went on to say that soon after being appointed PAC chairman, the leader of opposition has started pressurising the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), adding that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is using PAC as shield against corruption.

“PML-N is trying to include Khawaja Saad Rafiq to PAC so that he can also benefit from this shield,” he added.

He said: “PTI leader and senior provincial minister Abdul Aleem Khan resigned from his post soon after he was arrested by the anti-graft watchdog. Chaudhry Fawad Hussain made it clear that Aleem Khan s arrest is not a balancing act and justice should be seen to be done.”

According to Dunya News, Prime Minister Imran Khan presided over a meeting of the senior leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in which matters pertaining to country’s political situation came under discussion.

The meeting expressed concern on the steps taken by Shehbaz Sharif after becoming PAC chairman.
