Slip of tongue: Nawaz Sharif only leader to end CPEC, says Mushahid Ullah
The blunder went viral while Khan was spelling out accomplishments.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Baffled by recent blow to PML-N after conviction of its supremo Nawaz Sharif in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) references, its senior leader and senator Mushahid Ullah Khan has suffered a slip of tongue uttering: Nawaz Sharif is the only leader who has collapsed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, which is actually heading towards completion.
While talking to media outside the Accountability Court (AC) in Islamabad after the announcement of verdict in Al-Azizia and Flagship references on Monday, he happened to say that Nawaz Sharif only leader to end CPEC.
The blunder went viral while Khan was spelling out accomplishments and marks made by Nawaz Sharif as three-time Prime Minister of the country.
Carried away by the verdict announcement against Nawaz Sharif in Al-Azizia reference, Mushahid Ullah Khan opened up against the successive convictions of Sharif alongside relating his credentials in politics as PM.
He started with saying that Nawaz Sharif was the only leader to end power, gas load shedding, and went on to say, without checking, that "Nawaz Sharif is the only leader of Pakistan who put CPEC to end" to utter embarrassment to himself and the PML-N itself raising many an eyebrows of those around him as well as watching him on TV screens.
