Kh Saad approaches IHC for protective bail

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has on Wednesday approached Islamabad High Court (IHC) for protective bail as National Accountability Bureau (NAB) expedited probe in Paradise City scam.

As per details acquired, Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar will assume hearing on petition of former railways minister.

The petition—filed by Kh Saad—urges IHC to compel NAB to keep Kh Saad updated of all graft proceedings. The petition also pleads IHC to bar NAB from arresting Kh Saad for two weeks till conclusion of by-polls scheduled to be held on October 14.

“Unfortunately, Pakistan’s recorded history is full of revenge proceedings. The petitioner [Kh Saad] was served with a call up notice to which a reply was submitted along with documents. The petitioner has appeared before NAB under personal capacity. The petitioner has neither served as director nor holds shares in Paragon City”, read the petition.
