Karachi: Fire still raging at cardboard godown

Blaze at a cardboard godown in Karachi was still raging on Monday more than 12 hours later.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A third-degree erupted at a cardboard godown near Shafiq More in Karachi on Sunday, causing loss of millions of rupees, Dunya News reported.

The blaze is yet to be put out after 12 hours of struggle put up by fire fighters at the site.

Mayor Karachi, Waseem Akhtar has blamed Sindh government for the delay in rescue operation stating that four vehicles of fire brigade went out of order during the operation.

Fire tenders from all over the city along with teams from Pakistan Navy were taking part in the rescue operation but the blaze is yet to be put out after 12 hours of struggle.

However, the reason behind the fire is yet to be confirmed.
