Sindh given more water than quota: IRSA

KARACHI (Daily Dunya) - Indus River System Authority (IRSA) said that Sindh had been granted more water than its quota.

IRSA spokesperson Khalid Rana termed rumors of 50pc water shortage during Kharif season as premature predictions. Rana further apprised that Tarbela and Mangla dams have met dead level incessantly during 2000-2013.

Responding to a question on statement of Sindh CM, Rana said no meeting of IRSA advisory committee was held. Rana stressed on construction of dams at earliest to escape likely drought.
