KARACHI (Dunya News) – Dozens of officers of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) escaped a great tragedy as the department’s own employ turned out to be informer of terrorists.
The spy named Irfan was locator operator of special branch.
As per details, CTD team was expected to conduct a raid on terrorists’ hideout but locator operator Irfan informed the terrorists about this operation before its execution.
Terrorist were all prepared to carry out a huge massacre as they had already taken their guards on Irfan’s tip off.
The intelligence agencies found out about the leaked information and stopped the CTD team from carrying out this operation.
According to sources, locator operator Irfan also made a failed suicide attempt when he was arrested. Investigation team hopes to get key information from him during interrogation.
Further investigation is being carried out.
