Efforts underway to celebrate Eid on same date across country
Federal Minister of Religious Affairs will head to Peshawar to meet Mufti Popalzai
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Efforts are underway to start the holy month of Ramazan and to celebrate the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr across the country on same dates, reported Dunya News on Monday.
Federal Minister of Religious Affairs Sardar Yousuf shall head to Peshawar to meet Imam of Masjid Qasim Khan mosque Mufti Popalzai. He will try to convince Popalzai along with heads of other tribes to celebrate the beginning and ending of the holy month on the same dates.
Sardar Yousuf said that he is in contact with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa officials and with the Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee in this regards as well.
