Karachi: Fire at cloth godowns brought under control

At least 26 fire brigade vehicles participated in the rescue operation.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – According to rescue sources, fire broke out at a cloth godown in Gulbai area of Sher Shah in Karachi on Sunday night which quickly engulfed four other cloth godowns in the surrounding area. Sources said that the fire was caused by short circuit, Dunya news reported.

The blaze was so severe that fire brigade vehicles from all over the city were called in. The fire fighters brought the fire under control after six hours hectic effort.

At least 26 fire brigade vehicles participated in the rescue operation. The owners of the godowns informed that the cloth worth Rs 10 million was gutted in the blaze.
