Rates of pulses, sugar in utility stores rise dramatically

Citizens are deeply disturbed over the sudden increase in the prices of the basic commodities

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Rates of pulses and sugar present in Utility stores have risen dramatically prior to the start of the holy month of Ramadan, reported Dunya News.

Utility Stores Corporation of Pakistan announced an increase in the prices of various pulses up to 40 rupees per kilogram. The price of Daal Chana has increased from Rs 120 per kilogram to Rs 153 per kilogram. The rate of chick peas (Safaid Chana) has risen from Rs 110 per kilogram to Rs 155 per kilogram whereas the price of dark grains (Kala Chana) has increased by Rs 30 and are now available at Rs 140 per kilogram.

The price of sugar has increased by Rs 2 per kilogram. Citizens are deeply disturbed over the sudden increase in the prices of the basic commodities.
