Merchant says he has yet not received response from Interior Ministry to clarify his reservations

LONDON (Dunya News) – Pakistani businessman Sarfraz Merchant stated on Monday that he has yet not received any response from the Interior Ministry over the letter he sent to Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan five days ago regarding his reservations over the money laundering case against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), reported Dunya News.

Merchant said that he is unable to cooperate with the committee formed in regards to the MQM case as he has yet not received any response from the Interior Ministry.

He said that he has evidence(s) available against Muttahida about its involvement in money laundering case which have been provided by the Scotland Yard.

He further added that he is facilitating the Pakistani authorities for the greater good of the country and that he is consulting his lawyers in this regards as well.
