SC has ordered to start legal inquiry of mismanaged recruitments in Sindh Police

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Corruption worth Rs 1 billion 40 million and illegal recruitments in Sindh police has emerged on the surface when Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday ordered National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials to start inquiry against former Sindh IG Ghulam Haider Jamali and 14 senior police officials, reported Dunya News.

On the orders of Supreme Court, NAB officials have taken action on Rs 1 billion and 40 million corruption and illegal recruitments in Sindh police.

14 senior police officials including the main character of all the alleged mismanagement former Sindh IG Ghulam Haider Jamali have been called by NAB to submit statement to start enquiry against them.

The former IG reached NAB investigation zone before beginning of the investigation of his case. Other police officials include SSP Ghulam Asfar, SSP Fida Hussain, SSP Shabbir Tanvir Tahir, SSP Asim Khan and DSP CIA Ghulam Shabbir.

During the enquiry former IG refused all the allegations leveled against him and claimed that he has worked for the betterment of the department and has taken action against the corrupt officers.

Deputy Director NAB Muhammad Zameer Abbasi enquired from former IG and other police officials. Inquiry from the police officers will continue for the next few days including 77 police officers.
