ECP to appeal against LHC's order to restore previous delimitations in Rawalpindi
The Rawalpindi bench ordered ECP to issue revised schedule of LB elections
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday will file appeal against Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench’s order to restore previously marked delimitations in the city.
Sources said that the ECP has decided to appeal against the LHC’s verdict. The court had annulled new delimitations in a hearing on October 6. The court said that chalking out delimitations is not commission’s job but local government’s.
The Rawalpindi bench ordered ECP to issue revised schedule of LB elections.
Nomination paper’ submission deadline was supposed to end today for Rawalpindi LB polls.
