Sindh: 11 inquires opened as Anti-Corruption unit mobilizes
37 cases will be scrutinized in the next meeting.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Anti-Corruption unit in Sindh has started its work as it ordered 11 cases to be opened including 2 cases of Works and Services and Cooperative Society on Tuesday, reported Dunya News.
A meeting presided by Chief Secretary Sindh Siddique Memon took place in which he was briefed. Chairman Mumtaz Shah presented performance report of 2 months of anti-corruption activities. 439 inquiries were opened, 140 FIRs against corrupt officers were registered while 93 officers and people were arrested.
It was directed during the meeting to open 11 cases including 2 cases of Works and Services and Cooperative Society. 9 cases against officers of Works and Services while 11 cases against officers Cooperative Society have been established. 37 cases will be scrutinized in the next meeting.
