Mother of invention: Flood affectees use donkey fan to cool off
It is a good mean to give coolness while incurring nearly zero cost, say the villagers.
ROJHAN (Dunya News) – Flood affectees in Rojhan, area of Sindh have come up with a unique invention to counter heat and humidity as lack of electricity supply hinders conventional means of cooling oneself off in the heat.
The donkey powered fan is run by a mill, the center of which is a donkey which runs to propel the fan located outside the circle.
The people of Rojhan commented that they are poor people and cannot afford conventional means to relieve themselves from heat. The donkey fan, they said, is a good mean to give coolness while incurring nearly zero cost as compared to electric medium which gives high cost.
