Lahore: 3 terrorists killed in alleged police encounter
The slain terrorists were involved in killings in Youhanabad.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab police killed 3 terrorists involved in tragedy of Youhanabad in an alleged police encounter near Batapur. An inspector was injured in the exchange of fire, reported Dunya News.
According to police sources, three terrorists were taken to Batapur for identification of ammunition and weapons. Police found suicide jackets and explosives from the area, however when the police was bringing the prisoners back to van, some terrorists ambushed the police. As a result of exchange of fire, all three terrorists were killed. Additional contingents of police and rescue teams arrived after hearing the news of the police encounter.
According to police sources, the three terrorists that were killed were involved in killings in Youhanabad tragedy. The terrorists have been identified as Sanaullah, Imran and Sheikh Qanoon.
