Education holds the position of a key pillar In Pak-U.S. relationship, said the American diplomat

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – American diplomat Richard Olson said on Thursday that every year more than 1300 people visit U.S. for academic and professional purposes. He said that U.S. government will strive for betterment in every department including education, reported Dunya News.

A private university in the federal capital held a farewell ceremony for the American diplomat Richard Olson on Thursday. Talking at the event, Richard Olson said that improvements in the education sector have been the hallmark of Pak-U.S. relationship.

Reflecting on his 3-year stay in the country and relations with Pakistani youth, he said that education holds a basic position in economic development, political stability and individual development therefore education holds the position of a key pillar In Pak-U.S. relationship.

At the end of ceremony, university administration gave Richard Olson shield and gifts.
