Army Chief General Raheel Sharif arrives in Karachi
DG Rangers, Corps Commander will brief the Army Chief on recent terrorist attack in Karachi.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Soon after receiving the news of Karachi bus attack, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has arrived in Karachi today (Wednesday).
The Army Chief will be briefed by Corps Commander and DG Rangers on Safoora Chowrangi tragedy. He will also hold a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, sources told.
Earlier today, General Raheel Sharif cancelled his pre-scheduled three-day visit to Sri Lanka after a terrorist attack on a bus near Karachi s Safoora Chowrangi that left at least 43 people dead.
This was confirmed by DG ISPR Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa in a message posted on Twitter.

The Army Chief was scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka this evening on the invitation of Sri Lankan Army Commander Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva.
