Police finalise preliminary report of Karachi bus firing incident
At least 12 terrorists carried out the attack, report states
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Sindh Police has finalised the preliminary report of the bus firing incident near Safoora Chowrangi that claimed lives of at least 43 and injured several including children and women.
According to the report, militants did a thorough recky of the site before the executing the attack. The unidentified miscreants used modern weaponry for the attack. At least 43 passengers have been killed in the tragic incident. The report states that the driver tried to accelerate the bus after the terrorists opened fire. The incident took place at around 9:40 in the morning today.
The bus used to shift the residents of Rozana Scheme 33 to Ayesha Manzil everyday.
On the other hand, according to the sources, a cap of a private security agency has been found from the site. The report states that at least 12 terrorists carried out the attack out of which three stopped the bus while the remaining opened fire from different directions.
The eye-witnesses of the terror act told the police that the militants hid in the nearby building before the attack. Pamphlets of a banned outfit have been found from the site.
