GHOTKI (Dunya News) – An illegal jirga on Friday has sentenced two sisters to be given in Wani and ordered the father to pay a fine of at least Rs 10 lac after his brother, Pervez married his love.
The feudal rule in remote areas of Sindh continues even after media criticism as a jirga gave another illegal verdict today.
According to the details, a feudal called a meeting in Sher Muhammad Malik village to discuss Sughran-Pervez love marriage that happened as many as four months ago. The jirga sentenced Pervez s two young nieces to be given in Wani while fined the father Rs 10 lac.
Upon refusing to comply with the verdict, the feudals and their followers tortured the father.
However, the police have filed a case but no arrests have been made until the filing of this report.
