ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The record of at least two corruption cases against former president Asif Ali Zardari has disappeared. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started searching original file of SGS and Cotecna references, Dunya News reported.

According to sources, the original documentation recording corruption references against former president has disappeared. Both original documents are neither in the accountability court nor with NAB.

Former Joint Secretary Accountability Bureau Hassan Waseem, while refusing to record a statement, said that NAB has the original record and he won’t record a statement until the original record is retrieved.

Investigation officer Gulshan Khan has adopted that he has never seen the original record of the case and that NAB only has photocopies.

The hearing of plea on Zardari’s acquittal of the charges is scheduled for Thursday. Accountability Court’s Judge Muhammad Bashir will hear the plea.
