ANP, MQM demand govt to conduct army operation in Karachi

As many as 7,000 ANP workers have been killed in the city of Quaid, says Senator Shahi Syed

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Awami National Party (ANP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Monday has demanded off the government to conduct an army operation in Karachi while ANP members demonstrated a walk-out of the Senate in wake of target killings of party members.

The parties’ members put forth their demand in the Senate in Islamabad.

The members also demonstrated a walk-out of the Senate for the killing of the party members. While ANP’s Shahi Syed said that if Interior Minister could not provide security then he must take responsibility of the target killings.

He said that as many as 7,000 ANP workers have been killed in the city of Quaid. He also said that such acts are against the state. He urged the government to conduct an army operation in Karachi to end target killing.

ANP’s Haji Adeel said that the province is not happy over the 18th amendment. Afrasyab Khattak said that federation is the name of the will of the Punjabi establishment.

The ANP members also demonstrated a walk-out of the Senate.
