Quetta: Gas supply to CNG stations sealed for indefinite duration

Despite of officials' high claim, gas supply has not been resumed to the Zarghun gas field.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – The gas supply to the Zarghun gas field in Quetta could not be resumed on its sixth day (Saturday) due to which gas has been suspended to the CNG stations in the city, Dunya News reported.

Department of The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) had claimed not to cut off gas supply in winters, however, the gas pressure in various areas of Quetta including Sarki Road, Pashtoon Abad and Sariab Road has been recorded extremely low whereas a complete gas load-shedding has also been observed in few areas.

Higher officials of the department assured to complete work of gas upgrading in Zarghun field as early as possible.

Moreover, gas cut off has led to the closure of all the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations for indefinite duration throughout the city.
