PM Nawaz lauds Ministry of Defence Production for IDEAS 2014

256 foreigners companies and 77 Pakistani companies have arranged the stalls at the venue.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the 8th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar IDEAS 2014 on Monday at Expo centre in Karachi and said that defence production of Pakistan has opened the eyes of international world.

Addressing the IDEAS 2014 ceremony, PM has shown his happiness and stated that it’s an effective display of defence products.

He lauded the role of engineers and congratulated them on conducting an outstanding exhibition of IDEAS 2014.

PM further added that the protection of nation’s sovereignty is a first priority of an independent country and government competing with superpowers by shielding the boundaries of Pakistan.

He pronounced that in this era of technical advancement, a strong defence system is indispensable to fight with external threats.

He claimed that emerging terrosism has destroyed the development of country and to overcome this tension, we need to enhance the weapons to tackle terrorism.

He appreciated the valiant Pakistani Army in successfully carrying out operation Zarb-e-Azb and showed his grief over the assassinations of Army officers.

He assured that Pakistan is having advanced and high quality armaments and that these weapons can lead Pakistan to counter any attack.

Pakistani nuclear arms proliferation is of best quality and cheap due to which these arms have lured international buyers as well, PM added.

PM felicitated the Ministry of Defence Production and directed to give more attention on this issue.

According to details, 256 foreigners companies and 77 Pakistani companies have arranged the stalls at the venue. The participants are reported to be from China, Turkey, America, United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, Serbia, Thailand, South Africa, Romania, Britain, Ukraine, Russia, Singapore, Portugal, Lithonia, Malaysia, Lebanon, Korea, Italy, Germany, France, Spain and Belgium.
