PTI decides not to participate in by-polls

PTI announced to hold at least two rallies in every city after Muharram.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee on Saturday decided not to participate in by-polls and that the decision to support independent candidates will be taken on party’s discretion, Dunya News reported.

Addressing the media, PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari said after the core committee meeting that PTI has endorsed the decision to resign from the National Assembly. Mazari said that PTI’s outgoing members of National Assembly (MNAs) will appear before the Speaker National Assembly on October 29th.

PTI spokesperson also announced that PTI will hold two rallies each in every city after Muharram.

Reportedly, PTI suspended membership of member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial assembly (MPA) Javed Nasim for raising the slogan ‘go Khattak go’ against province’s chief minister.

These decisions were announced after PTI’s core committee meeting headed by its chairman Imran Khan.
