Indian guns were silenced by the swift response from the Chenab Rangers.

NAROWAL (Dunya News) – Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing from across the border, killing one Pakistani on Wednesday. Chenab Rangers retaliated to the attack and silenced the guns of the enemy.

Indian forces are in a constantly violating ceasefire at the Line of Control (LoC). The latest incident of firing at the control centre of district Shakar Ghar of Narowal killed a resident of Nangal Village. The shelling created panic and fear among the locals. Chenab Rangers spontaneously reacted to the threat and silenced the guns of the Indian forces.

Since last week this is the second incident of LoC violation.

A similar sort of an incident occurred at Charwa and Herpal sector that took an innocent life and left many wounded.

The unprovoked firing from the Indian border has affected dozens of people and killed livestock. In the wake of these continuous cross-border firings, Chenab Rangers have demanded to call a flag meeting.

The skirmishes between Pakistan and India have begun to become a routine. Both the countries have been accusing each other for the attacks. Guns have been rather silent at the borders since 2003 ceasefire on LoC until now that the attacks have gained pace, building tension between both the neighbours.

Prime Ministers of both the countries had met in New York last year in September and had agreed upon their officials to meet and talk about the issue.
