Maulana Sami-ul-Haq has started making contacts to bolster dialogue process with Taliban.

ISLAMABAD (Online) - Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-S), Maulana Sami-ul-Haq has started making contacts to bolster dialogue process with

Taliban and also suggested some recommendations to government regarding his cooperation for dialogue process.

Sources told Online on Wednesday that Maulana asked the government to be strict with its stance of dialogue and if delaying tactics would be used in implementing proposed (JUI-S) recommendations then the party will ultimately back out from dialogue process. 

He demanded of the government to urgently announce withdrawal from war on terror and stop intelligence-sharing over drone attacks.  “This fire can only be extinguished through dialogue process,” sources quoted Maulana.

Sources said that Maulana Sami-ul-Haq has also demanded guarantee from the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that any kind of operation to sabotage peace process should be avoided.

The JUI-S chief also demanded of the government to clarify to US that drones are not only against country’s sovereignty but also derailed dialogue process.
