CNG supply to remain suspended for two months
Gas loadshedding plan for winter season has been devised that takes effect next week.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – According to Sui Northern Gas Company authorities, priority has been given to domestic sector in gas load management plan for the winter season.
They said that 1.733 billion cubic feet gas is available in SNGPL system next month while gas shortfall in Punjab and KPK in December would be 1.10 billion cubic feet that would jump to 1.40 million cubic feet in January.
If the domestic sector is delivered complete supply, then supply to other sectors would be suspended, the authorities said.
The SNGPL officials said that it has been decided that gas supply to CNG stations and industrial sector would remain suspended in December and January.
Keeping in view the present situation, gas supply to power sector would also decrease while the gas shortage may also affect domestic consumers in small towns and rural areas.
