5.2 magnitude earthquake jolts parts of Balochistan

The epicenter of the earthquake was 58 kilometers below the ground in South East of Quetta.

QUETTA (Dunya News) - Earthquake shocks were felt in Quetta, Sibi and its surrounding areas on Friday.

According to Met Office, the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.5 whereas its epicenter was 58 kilometers below the ground in the South East of Quetta.

Fear gripped the affected areas and people came out of their homes, however no casualties were immediately reported.

It is worth mentioning here that a 7.7 magnitude earthquake had hit Balochistan on September 24 killing at least 350 people and injuring more than 800 others while thousands of homes collapsed in Awaran and Kech districts and southwestern parts of the country.
