ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will hold a meeting 0n Wednesday (today) to discuss the voting right of the overseas Pakistanis.

Secretaries from the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Law and Justice, Overseas Pakistanis, Information Technology and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will attend the meeting.

In its report submitted yesterday to the Supreme Court, the Election Commission opposed an online voting system for overseas Pakistanis, terming it expensive, time-consuming, and impracticable, contending that facilitating eligible overseas Pakistanis to cast their votes in the upcoming general elections was not advisable.
