Elahi pledges promoting education sector

PML-Q leader says his party will provide free education with books up to graduation level.

 

LAHORE (Dunya News/Agencies): Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said Friday while talking to a delegation of Gujrat district, that after quitting PML-N have announced to join PML-Q.

 

“The PML during its tenure focused on education by providing free education and textbooks up to matric; now it will provide free education with books up to graduation level”, said Elahi.

 

He said that the investment in education means to put money for securing future of the country. After coming to power, his party will establish new educational institutes from schools to university level as their objective is to remove darkness of illiteracy and poverty from the country, said ex chief minister of Punjab.


He said that the youth should be provided maximum opportunities to uplift their stand of living.

 

“We had brought two million children into the schools as a result of which literacy rate in the province went up whereas we also gave the gift of the Gujrat University to the country”, said Pervez Elahi.

 

During their tenure, some 10,000 new employment opportunities were created every year”, he added.

 

He said that today educated youth is unemployed, law and order situation has gravely deteriorated, if you want that Pakistan should make progress then make sure that Pakistan Muslim League emerges victorious.
