PPP and PML-N backed resolution that slammed leaders conspiring against democracy.

LAHORE: Punjab Assembly, expressing resentment over the anti-democratic forces, unanimously passed a resolution against conspiracies being hatched to sabotage the democratic process in the country.

The PPP and PML-N members also condemned ‘tactics’ exercised by Dr Tahirul Qadri and said that so-called champion of Islam is hatching conspiracies in the name of reforms.

The House also vowed that nobody would be allowed to impose undemocratic forces on masses. All conspiracies intending to postpone general elections would be foiled with solidarity.

The resolution also demanded of the Election Commission and federal government to make arrangements for holding of general elections on time.

The Punjab Assembly members also appealed to the all political forces to unite against the forces which want nothing but to derail the caravan of the democracy in the country.

The assembly members made fiery speeches against their ‘rival forces’, saying no ‘Sheikhul Islam’ or ‘Khan’ would not be allowed to sabotage the political system which is real representative of the masses.

A Canadian citizen has no right to ridicule the parliament and democracy, they said.
