The court seeks detailed report over doctors recommendations.

During the hearing of suo moto notice at SC Registry in Lahore today, former chief of Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC), Doctor Azhar, told there is a need of two more hospitals of cardiology in the city.He recommended the manufacturing companies of syringes should be registered at all costs in order to avoid further casualties in the city while the Health Secretary reiterated the need of advanced equipment in the drug testing laboratories.The recommendations also included to train the medical staff with latest technology.During the hearing, the court learnt that around 40 percent of the casualties are due to cardiac arrest.Punjab Advocate General Ashtar Ausaf, Health Secretary and PIC doctor Azhar also attended the hearing.The hearing has been adjourned till April 9, 2012.
