Kidnapping for ransom: Anti-Violent Crime Cell arrests SHO in Karachi

Raids are underway to arrest the accomplices of the accused.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) on Sunday arrested the Station House Officer for kidnapping two traders for ransom in Karachi.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police East (SSP) AVCC Tariq Dharejo, SHO Saleem Rajpoot of Tipu Sultan police station abducted two traders from Baldia Saeedabad and demanded Rs20 lac ransom from their families.

With the aid of technology AVCC police interrogated the case and found proofs of the SHO’s involvement.

On the information, AVCC raided Tipu Sultan police station and arrested the SHO.

The SSP also stated that Saleem Rajpoot was deployed in the area two days before.

A separate case is being registered against the accused in east zone police station.

Moreover, raids are underway to arrest the accomplices of the accused.
