The English authority is keen on getting this scheme implemented starting from 2020 season

(Web Desk) – English Cricket Board has decided to contest for a four-day Test format before the International Cricket Council to keep the format relevant in fast evolving game, cricktracker.com reported on Sunday.

According to the Telegraph Sports, a source has revealed that the cricket board would be raising the issue in ICC’s coming meeting in October in New Zealand.

It should be mentioned here that England still tops the countries where fans show interest in attending Test matches in stadiums unlike the decreasing trend elsewhere.

Colin Graves, English board’s executive had earlier said in 2016 that every Test match should start on Thursday with it begin one of the corporate days and end over the weekend for it would be a family day.

According to the reports, the English authority is keen on getting this scheme implemented starting from 2020 season following 2019 ashes.
