Junaid Khan says Umar Akmal's statement misleading, PCB forms 3-member committee to probe
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Umar Akmal’s skirmishes with fast bowler Junaid Khan are still going on as Punjab captain alleged Junaid on Thursday of abandoning the team, reported Dunya News.
According to details, Umar Akmal alleged that Junaid Khan abandoned the team without informing anyone. Declaring the statement a ‘lie’, Junaid Khan said that he had informed the team doctor and management about his ill health before leaving.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also come into action upon this issue and formed a three-member committee to probe it.
It is pertinent to mention here that Umar Akmal is Punjab’s captain in Pakistan Cup and his team has already been eliminated from the tournament after poor performance.
