Quetta Gladiators victorious with 8 wickets in hand

Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to field.

DUBAI (Dunya News) – Quetta Gladiators emerged victorious in the first match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) against Islamabad United on Friday. The Gladiators managed to secure an easy win, with 8 wickets in hands. 

Islamabad United s batting lineup could not face the bowling attack of the Gladiators, with Mohammad Nawaz managing to grab 4 wickets of major players including Watson, Babar Azam, Billings and Imran Khalid. The batting order seemed to crumble under the bowling onslaught with only Misbah-ul-Haq providing some relief scoring 41 runs at 28 balls with some splendid shots. He remained not out. 

Meanwhile Quetta Gladiator s batting order proved to be solid as a rock, losing only 2 wickets. Wright s magnificent batting skills managed to pull Gladiator s towards victory with remarkable ease. He remained not out at 86 from 53 deliveries. 

Pakistan Super League (PSL) finally kicked off with its first match in Dubai between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United on Thursday.

The Gladiators team comprised of Sarfraz Ahmed (Capt, Wkt), KP Pietersen, LJ Wright, E Chigumbura, Ahmed Shehzad, Anwar Ali, Umar Gul, Zulfiqar Babar, Mohammad Nabi, Akbar-ur-Rehman

United’s squad included SR Watson, Sharjeel Khan, Umar Amin, Babar Azam, SW Billings, Misbah-ul Haq (Capt), S Badree, Imran Khalid, AD Russell, Mohammad Irfan, Rumnan Raees.
