KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Women’s team on Sunday defeated Bangladesh by 20 runs in the first One-Day International (ODI), going 1 up in the series. Bismah Maroof was awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ award for her brilliant 92, reported Dunya News.

Pakistan decided to bat first after winning the toss at South End Karachi Club. After Sidra Ameen’s early dismissal, Bismah Maroof came to the crease and bravely faced the visiting bowlers. She scored 92 runs off 128 balls and Pakistan were finally all out for 214.

Bangladesh never looked comfortable while chasing the target as wickets falling in regular intervals and finally they could make only 194 runs in the allotted 50 overs with 1 wicket to spare and lost the match by 20 runs.
